Drawing as a practice can help quiet the mind. As the drawing changes and unfolds on the page, the artist enters an immersive state of flow. Still life as a genre offers a particularly rich and immersive focus as it encourages contemplation of small and finite things. This class will allow students to take a break from their busy urban lives while teaching them to accurately draw a composition of still-life objects.  Topics will include perspective, depth, volume, and accuracy.

Students will be required to purchase basic drawing materials.
