Observational Drawing: Basics and Beyond

$275 tuition for 6 sessions, students will be asked to purchase some materials. 



The first three weeks will focus on Observational Drawing Basics. We will cover concepts such as negative space, blind-contour, and sighting measurements.

The second three weeks will go beyond basics to explore Observational Drawing Challenges, including perspective and introducing color to our drawing.

 Our courses are for adults only, unless explicit permission has been given by the instructor, and a parent or guardian is also enrolled in the class.

Instructor Jason Das

Jason Das is an interdisciplinary artist and storyteller. He has taught for Urban Sketchers, Sketchbook Skool, Moleskine, Future of Storytelling, and Abrons Art Center. He believes that everybody can and should make things themselves (art or otherwise) and it’s even better if we can make and learn things together. He is the former President of Urban Sketchers.
