Photoshop is a powerful tool used by several industries in completely different ways. In this class, we will cover the basics of how it can help you prepare files for screen printing. We will discuss what exactly pixels are, the function of layers and masks, how to apply adjustment layers, and how to save your file for printing transparencies.

Who should take this class? If you have wanted to screen print an image but didn’t know how to separate it properly for transparency printing, this class is for you. Alternatively, if screen printing isn’t your focus, but you are interested in the basics Photoshop, this class will give you a great foundation.

If you have an example of an image you want to separate, email it to Amy ( subject line: Photoshop Class) and bring it with you – we will make sure you know how to attack it before leaving the class. You will need to bring a laptop with Adobe Photoshop loaded and ready to run. We recommend a version no older than CS6, but if you have an older version of Photoshop you can work with you.
