About

Students will work from a live model to create well-structured portraits with convincing colors and features. In this three session workshop participants will incorporate a variety of techniques such as comparative measuring, big form modeling, and glazing methods that are all important aspects of developing a successful portrait. Students will learn how to achieve a better likeness as well as how to paint convincing flesh tones and render textures like cloth and hair. Workshop will include demonstrations, discussions and individual instruction at the easel. Open to all levels.
